March 21, 2010

Congratulations, on this first day of Spring, to all those who have survived another winter.
Spring flowers. Spring cleaning Spring chicken. Spring forward, fall back. Spring is bustin' out all over. In Spring a young man's fancy turns to love.

My day began, at 6:30AM, with a visit to Anita and the girls at Co Co Beach Hotel where the new Filipina cook provided the four of us a delicious typical breakfast of gallo pinto.
Back at home I moved my computer and drink to the veranda, where I happily talked to several of my loved ones on Skype,, browsed the net, read the news of the world and listened to the lady who lives upstairs clean my house.
She did a real Spring cleaning, brushing the screens free of dust, breaking a lamp, cooking a pot of rice for my meals, and washing all the bedclothes and couch covers.
Her child, a two year old boy, that she calls by the endearing nickname of Enano--which means dwarf-- played around my table on the veranda.
A great day so far and it is only 1:35PM here.
Now I will try to discipline myself to write some truth, some exaggerations, some wishful thinking and maybe some purely made up stuff.
I need to write it in a private file first, because I do not publish everything here that I write. Some of it will be private for the time being, awaiting publication of the book upon my death. Part of that is a joke, part not

A list of upcoming subjects, just to remind me.

Trip to Limon: Caribe bus station, Sequirres bus station, bus to Cano Blanco dock, boat ride to Parismina, clinic visit, beach, living, play, special friends, horses, alligators, snakes, syringes on the beach, gossip, lies,
