From San Jose you can go anywhere.
I have gathered all my scattered furniture under one roof now, you will be relieved to know. We will be finished moving in a week or so, and organized and arranged, I hope. We looked like the Beverly Hillbillies on the trip up from Quepos with the furniture. Fortunately it only sprinkled a tiny bit. The new place is clean, dry, centrally located, spacious with bedroom views of (master) the mountains and (guest) the street in front. Both are cool in the cool sense of the word.
Today, after a 20 hour day yesterday, we are relaxing and watching the Canadian and German women battle for The women's World cup in soccer Last night Mexico beat the US in the Rose Bowl. There was much cheering and yelling where we where. CR is for the US as they seem somewhat antagonistic towards Mexico. At least this crowd did.
PS: I have plans to buy a real washing machine. An indulgence, yes, but it will pay for itself in laundry fees after 30 months. And I hate carrying laundry someplace.
Anyway, this caught me in a loquacious mood. I had had talked to Dip for over an hour while drinking coffee.
PPS: this place has what was called the "cuarto de empleada" which means maid's room. It has a cabinet for belongings and a small bath, shower and toilet only, opening off it. There is a window between the two.
It makes me think of "Upstairs, downstairs" or its ilk. "The girl" and all that.
The lady who owns this is 90 some years old and very elegant, made sure to show me all of her last names. Dressed to the nines, made up, very noblesse oblige.Alex points out that we don't really need an employee, in all seriousness, and I "laugh inside my stomach."
Photos will follow, probably after a long interval. Peace
