I 'm looking at buying a tablet with a 10" screen and a long battery life to use for writing. I think I have picked the one I like, but upon investigation I discover some snags

ASUS ZenPad 3S 10 9.7" (2048x1536), 4GB RAM, 64GB eMMC, 5MP Front / 8MP Rear Camera, Android 6.0, Tablet, Titanium Gray (Z500M-C1-GR)

USB connections, like all other past computer connection methods, have changed. I am altogether out of date, not a Luddite, just ignorant limited fund-wise.

I am now studying USB connections in their vast complexity. Gonna take me a while.

I suppose everyone else is already using USB Type C at the very least.

Sigh. It's always something.

Of course I was hoping to order me a tablet for less than three hundred bucks and type off into the future happily ever after. Zounds, foiled again.

NEW SUBJECT

I've been meaning to write about my new home. I love it.

Balcony, hot water in powerful shower, glass doors onto balcony with overhang so I can leave it open safely in storms. Large bedroom window also opens onto overhang. I love open windows and doors, even in winter. Heating and AC work well. Parking nearby. I can see my car from my windows.

Great, reliable, fast internet. Netflix runs steadily, no spinning red arrows.

Friends to eat with, play cards, chat with. Almost everybody knows my name. (;

ITEM: the other day one of then shouted across the lobby to me, Alice Lee, do you have bedbugs yet?

No one turned a hair. And I don't and have lost the apprehension of getting them.

Got a date for the Holiday Party next Saturday. Music, dancing, food, entertainment.

Fitness room right outside my hall door. Twenty four hour access with my fob.

Ivy and Sharon and Jerry come over once a week for chat and/or cards.

A bus to go to meals, shopping, etc., but mostly I drive.

Peapod knows where I am, Walgreen's will deliver if I choose.

Full wall of custom built closet 7 shelves in bedroom. Gigantic utility closet. Pantry.

Cleaning lady available if I choose for only sixteen dollars an hour. She would clean, do laundry, run errands, shop etc.

I'm sure there are more things, but best of all, I think, is my attitude adjustment.

Well, I'll be studying this stuff for a while. FQ and comments. A whole new world for me. First a whole new vocabulary. Looking up lots of words, terms.
