Modern medicine?

I've spent a lifetime on and off of antibiotics, Candida treatment because of the antibiotics, a month or so okay, then another infection and repeat the cycle. Most women know the routine. Once I self administered super strong drugs by iv infusion for a week.
The docs, and the literature, always said if left untreated a UTI would lead to kidney damage and sepsis and death.
After a 3 day  instillation of a bleach solution a couple years ago as a last resort didn't work I  arbitrarily stopped all treatment.  Fuck it. I'm ready. Take me, jesus. Rebel with a cause.
I agreed to see doc yearly for check up and to get script for catheters. I started self cath 4 times a day. Last year, no change Klebsiella still rampant.
Last Friday I trudge down to Methodist for checkup. Urine clear. We check it again. Sure enough, clear. No bacteria. That pretty much says all there really is to say. Everyone involved amazed. Doc ponders submitting paper on this. Whatever. Going to Patoka for a week. Leaving tomorrow.
 It feels utterly anticlimactic.
