Tips on paint/priming over a bright color on only one wall.

.If you wonder whether you need a ladder or not, you do. Get it now.
No matter how small the wall is, do not use your old 3" roller. Buy a big one.
Regardless of how tidy you are, use a drop cloth.
Put the drop cloth down before you start.
Not matter how hard it is to reset, unplug the cable from the wall.
Buy primer guaranteed to cover in one coat. Plan on two coats. More likely three.
One quart will do 2 coats on a 48 sq. ft. wall. Buy a gallon. You'll save trips to Home Depot and its  a lot cheaper that way and you can use what's left over when you get sick of the new yellow.
Plan on an hour per coat plus 20 minutes drying time between coats. Use a fan.
This is a job for one person, absolutely alone in the house, preferably the person who put the damned orange on the wall in the first place.
Take breaks. Keep bladder empty. If you are elderly and/or have  bad balance, put phone on floor where you can reach it if/when you fall. Fall safely.
Take 4 Excedrin before you begin. I don't care what the bottle says.
If you could afford to hire a professional you probably wouldn't be reading this, but...

All this wise advice is crucial to the likes of me, being one who'd regret each shortcut in the longrun.

This is funny. I hope these lessons you share are from past experience and not recent ones.
