A DAY IN THE LIFE Nov,3/4, 2020

Midst of the 2020 election. Neck and neckish. Don't know what to do if he wins. Feel like it must be something drastic and scary and life changing. Get in car and head cross country. See the roads again just one more time.
Last night at   ten thirty about ten firetrucks, sirens screaming, red lights flashing, entered the compound and circled the place and wound in and out between the buildings, finally stopping in front of the office. I went onto the balcony to see if I could smell smoke, Nope.  During this screaming flashing mazelike mess I could hear a man's hoarse voice yelling  HEEELLLP over and over. Couldn't see a person. Realized I couldn't help anyone any more so no point in going out to look for the  guy.   Thought of Kitty Genovese. Felt  like you would if you were ignoring Kitty as she died. Eventually voice stopped. Most trucks left. About  four remained in front of office for an hour or so. Silent now, but flashing still. No  idea what happened. Today at noon a firetruck and ambulance stopped out front of this building but turned sirens off. Went back to Grey et al. Not leaving the house for the duration. It feels like a silent nightmare that I know I will never wake up from. Back to Grey now. Maybe more later.
