Put an old decorative candle bowl in the microwave to melt the rest of the wax. Purpose: have a lovely decorative bowl to display tiny fake flowers.

Follow-up hint. The microwave will work without the little plastic ring to support the glass platform upon which to place the item to be heated.  

But, it will wobble and just possibly dump your cup of coffee if used without the tiny plastic ring.

Consolation. Do not spend the day picking bits of dried wax from the walls, ceiling, and floor of the microwave. Maybe it will eventually evaporate on its own during use.

During this time, all your microwaved food may taste like perfume. 

Deal with it.
