I finally walked to the far end of the beach this afternoon. Name the good things; peace, freedom, hope, tranquiity, I find them here. I had been so busy arranging things that I had forgotten.
Yesterday I walked the road to Quepos and back, to go to the AA meeting at Mono Azul. All the old people were there, like family, welcome, comfort, safety, and last, but not least, breakfast.
We will have a Christmas dinner following the 10:00 AM meeting next Friday. Those of you who went to First Step's Thanksgiving party will remember how much fun those are.
Happy holidays, Feliz Navidad, and/or Merry Christmas to all of you, wherever you are.
On the way back to Hotel Coco Beach, I stopped to kick the curb where Kristen tripped and hurt her ankle last August. Every time I pass that spot, I think of us all here, together, and I feel happy.
When I am feeling especially elated I think of Dapne, my happiness facilitator.
