Rural living has its place. ;>)

Two good things today. First, as I was driving home from Greencastle earlier, I suddenly realized that, finally, at last,  I'm not lonesome for somewhere else.  I feel at home in Putnam County, Indiana, USA.  Not particularly in Cloverdale, it is like a bedroom community--to me--for Greencastle. The fact of a U in Gcastle, maybe, makes it totally different over by there.
In Cloverdale, there are a lot of Pennington types-remember Little Roy, and his sister who worked at the Park & Eat. What was her name?  Lou Ann? That is Cloverdale.
But when I head toward Gcastle   I can feel the hoosier hick vibe diminishing . That is not meant to be insulting. there are times and places when we hicks fit in well and can enlighten mankind.     And it is nice   here, cooler, with a breeze from the lake and a minimum of concrete to hold the heat.
As an aside, why do people get joy from torturing fish,  catching them by poking hooks into their mouths, then jerking them off the hook and tossing them back into the lake? How can this be entertaining for hours each day?
And why would a person own 6 cats? All of whom want to live on my porch, in my yard, on my driveway and under my car. And all of whom, it smells like, poop and piss  outside my front door. And how can I repel them? I asked a nursery nearby about Rue. I read it does the trick.  The nursery will respond by email. This is really not a big issue. I have accepted it. But if I could repel them, I would. At least near the  house and porch.
Stopping all meds today to see if I can regulate the distress in the lower tract.
Saw a field of bright golden blooms on the way home. Will take pics tomorrow. It is a large farm field, so I guess it is a cash crop, but I haveno idea what. It is the most beautiful field I have ever seen!
All in all, today is a good day.

This is worth copying, pasting and viewing. It is the utterest of the utterly creepy religious images our favorite taxi driver in CR posts on FB. He is a really great guy and I like him a lot, but..... Just goes to show you what god does to good people.

Once upon a time...
