Short lesson by Kurt Vonnegut with pithy wisdom SEE:PS

Kurt Vonnegut

What is the good news?
 What is the bad news?
We are seldom told the truth.
In Hamlet Shakespeare tells the truth. We don't know enough about life to know what the good news and what the bad news is.
We pretend to know the truth. We echo those around us.

Kurt's Uncle Alex said people seldom noticed it when they were happy.
Today, right now, I am happy.
I am grateful for my teachers:
Eula Green 5th & 6th grade Math
Gladys Tyndall 7th & 8th grade Math
Mrs. Niles 7th & 8th grade English
Mr. Foley Zoology at Tech Junior year
PS:Two guys in a pickup just pulled up out front, got out, set up music stands, got guitars and started playing.
First son was Lean On Me, a song we sang as a group at the end of Nursing School

Several more, upbeat happy ones. I was singing from my balcony so no one could hear me and loved doing it. Several other people came out. I was a wonderful spontaneous surprise. No idea who they were. Said they may come back some day. Wish I had a moving camera.
Later thought:  Does recognizing and acknowledging happiness draw more happiness to one? Let's act as if it does,

Once upon a time...
